As It SeemsThere is no magic in cognizance.
There is nothing divine or inexplicable about blood and bones and connective tissue. And life certainly isn't a miracle; it's a result of anatomical perfection, atria and ventricles in a small, fist-sized muscle pumping a continuous, beating rhythm into your chest. When you know your insides like the back of your hand, there's no room for a soul between all that skin and bone, and certainly no need for one.
Humans are God's first, only, and greatest mistake, assuming there is a God.
But there's no room for irrational assumptions between such a harsh reality and the weight As It Seems

To Whom it May ConcernI wrote a letter once it starts "Dear mom and Em" and it ends "I am terribly, terribly sorry." This might be a poem. It starts "I wrote a letter once" and it ends "I was seventeen the first time I wanted to live."
I was twelve when I first wanted to die The thought came between morphine drips I asked for a disposable camera and took pictures and made a scrapbook I yelled. The nurses yelled. Mom and dad yelled at each other and dialed 911 from the hospital room
I was sixteen the first time I died I drank until I was windshield wipers the doctors at the hospital had three eyes. To Whom it May Concern

To Love and Be LovedI try so desperately to find some magic in reality But everything is bleak, colorless, and two-dimensional. Sometimes I stumble across a silent second of someone's life That is full, fresh, and ethereal, And I hold the lifeless book in my cold hands Wishing it held some sort of truth. we are such mosaics of emotion, we let the sunlight in through
